Masjidul Haram-‘The Sacred Mosque’ is the largest mosque in the world, located in the city of Makkah. The structure covers an area of 89 acres approximately, in which four million worshipers can be accommodated during the Hajj period. Masjidul Nabavi – ‘Mosque of the Prophet’ is situated in the City of Madina. As the final resting place of the Prophet Muhammad, it is considered to be the second holiest site by Muslims. Masjidul Aqsa is the third holiest place in Islam situated in the Old City of Jerusalem.
